Rural Zulu and Overnight Encounter - Nompondo walking tour and overnight at umuzi kaMdaka (a rural homestead) Experience the warm hospitality of the Mdaka family and their surrounding community. Be part of the daily routine of this community for a day. The umuzi ka Mdaka (Mdaka homestead) offers accommodation in 3 traditional rondavels (thatched round huts) sleeping 4 people in each, and one traditional beehive hut which sleeps 2 people (nor for the claustrophobic). Facilities at the homestead include: separate shared ablution facility with flush toilet, basins with warm water in the evening and morning to wash and bedding. Arrive at the umuzi in the late afternoon, enjoy an evening cultural programme of song and dance - guaranteed to be a memorable experience. Go on a walking tour the next morning and depart again after lunch. Meet at the Hluhluwe Tourism Office or Memorial Gate at 17h00.
