Encounters on the Elephant Coast - the untamed spirit of the Zulu Kingdom

The Elephant Coast is situated in the northeastern corner of KwaZulu-Natal and offers the visitor an incredibly diverse cultural and natural landscape. The renowned Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve and the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, South Africa's first World Heritage Site, are key conservation areas in this Destination. Living alongside these Parks are a number of Zulu and Thonga communities. Sustainable tourism initiatives whereby such communities participate in tourism related activities are adding exciting alternatives to the tourism product to be sampled in the area.

Mbonise Cultural Concepts and Safaris offers a number of exciting products throughout the Elephant Coast:

Rural Zulu Encounter - Nompondo walking tour

Rural Zulu and Overnight Encounter - Nompondo walking tour and overnight at umuzi kaMdaka (a rural homestead)

Rural Zulu and Rhino Encounter - Nompondo walking tour and safari in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve

Other Zulu Encounters on the Elephant Coast - make the most of your visit to our Destination
